In Ready2Work, we help job seekers with the process of finding and applying for a job once they’ve chosen their field of interest. Our job coaches network with employers in a job seeker’s community and identify potential leads to help the candidates find a job and be successful.
Every person has the opportunity to meet with a job coach once a week to share leads and review position openings. In addition, job coaches teach candidates how to contact potential employers and train them on the importance of making a positive impression. Depending on the unique needs of each job seeker, the job coaches may assist with the following:
- Finding job leads
- Getting acquainted with computers, the Internet and job search engines
- Creating and sending resumes and cover letters
- Completing job applications
- Preparing for interviews
- Providing transportation to interviews
- Following up with potential employers
Our job coaches also conduct research on potential employers in order to learn about their business needs, what kinds of employees they are looking for, and whether there would be a smooth working relationship between them and the potential employees. The goal is to make a match with employers and job seekers who will work well together and help each other succeed.
