Supported Employment Enclaves & Community Services

Supported Employment Enclaves & Community Services

REM Ohio offers a variety of supported employment options to eligible and enrolled program participants, including traditional and dispersed work enclaves.

In traditional enclaves, a group of individuals are assigned to work as a team at a community business or industry with initial training, supervision and ongoing support from on-site staff.

In dispersed enclaves, a group of individuals work as a self-contained unit within a company or a as a mobile work crew performing multiple jobs in the community.

Every participant in our supported enclave program is encouraged to move on to our supported employment program where they will work at a greater level of independence.

Program Eligibility

Program participants need to be at least 18 years of age, have an intellectual or developmental disability, be currently enrolled or eligible for Medicaid Home and Community Based (HCB) Waiver funding and benefit from the services offered.

Private funding or local county board funds may also be accepted for program participants in the absence of HCB Waiver funding.
