Foster Care Awareness Month
- Iona Pinkston & Margie Mack
Many of the adults served by REM Ohio’s Adult Foster Care program participate in day programs or work at jobs and are able to have a high quality and variety of life experiences. But regardless of their abilities, REM Ohio has found that foster-mentors, like Iona Pinkston and Margie Mack, have forged meaningful relationships with the individuals in their care, making them a part of their home for years, if not decades.
-
Pinkston currently mentors individuals in her home, one of which she shares the stage with in a community play production.
-
Mack mentors adult individuals in her home, one of which has experienced a number of medical concerns within the past year and she has been a terrific caregiver.
